A Special Message From Walking with Bob B.

I suffered a stroke January, 2023. Since then, I have received therapy thru St. Luke’s and Ability KC. The American Stroke Foundation’s Next Step program has given me a chance to continue my road to recovery with other stroke survivors. Please join me on Saturday and support the good work of the Stroke Foundation. Next Step is a 4-hour program on Tuesday and Thursdays which has allowed Bob to continue with extra therapy in a group situation with other stroke survivors. Each week, activities are planned that allow stroke survivors to improve their speech for one hour; exercise for an hour; have lunch and then have about an hour or so for group games organized by an OT's. The program coordinator is wonderful! It is not covered by insurance but a program that the Stroke Foundation sponsors at a minimal cost to us.
